UITSTEL VAN BETAALDATUM OP B12/21
Op versoek van SAWAMBA (Sybokhaar Kopersvereniging) het al drie sybokhaar-veilingsmakelaars besluit om die kopers 'n maand uitstel te verleen op die betaling van katalogus B12/21. Dit kom as gevolg van 'n nuwe instelling van 'n verbod op die invoer van sybokhaar deur China afkomstig van Suid-Afrika. Hierdie verbod is veroorsaak deur die uitbreek van bek-en-klouseer. Alhoewel dit 'n fout deur die staatsamptenare aan beide kante is, sal dit 'n negatiewe invloed op die verkope hê as ons nie optree nie. Die kans is goed dat die probleem met die volgende veiling opgelos sal wees. Dit beteken dat produsente op hierdie veiling (beide BKB en House of Fibre produsente) eers op 24 Mei 2022 uitbetaal sal word. Die makelaars sal die ander twee weke se rente dra teen 'n koste van ongeveer R100 000 per week. Ons glo sterk dat hierdie besluit tot voordeel van almal is.
POSTPONEMENT OF PAYMENT FOR B12/21
On request of SAWAMBA (Mohair Buyers Association), all three mohair brokers have decided to postpone the payment date of catalogue B12/21. China enforced an embargo on the import of South African mohair, caused by the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease. Although this is a mistake by governmental officials on both sides, it will negatively influence the sale if we do not act. The chances are good that the problem will be solved by the next sale. This means that producers (both BKB and House of Fibre) will only be paid out on the 24th of May 2022. The other two weeks' interest will be carried by the brokers at a cost of approximately R100 000 per week. We strongly believe that this decision is to the benefit of everybody.
